Youngsters at Swinton Fitzwilliam Primary enjoyed a swashbuckling school day as part of a project on pirates.
More than 70 foundation one and two stage pupils donned eye patches, ripped clothing and hook hands for the celebration recently.
They created model ships, made cakes with a pirate theme and staged a ‘best dressed pirate’ competition.
Teacher Rachel Harding said: “All of the kids looked great and made a real effort to get dressed up.
“They have been learning about pirates this term and it was a great way to finish the subject.”
