The Northern Lincolnshire Broadband team continues its roadshow this month with dates in Haxey and Belton.
Parts of North Lincolnshire already have the benefits of superfast broadband with speeds of more than 24Mb/s.
The community roadshow is visiting areas that should receive fibre high-speed broadband by June 2015. It will provide information about the upgrade and tell people what it means for them.
The Isle roadshow dates are May 20 from 10am to noon in Haxey playing field car park, and from 1pm to 2.30pm on the same day in Ashtree Close car park at Belton.
Residents are advised to watch for other roadshow dates in July and August.
Information from other council services is given at the roadshows, including the Affordable Warmth team, Adult Community Learning and the regeneration team.
Internet novices who want to take advantage of high-speed broadband can join free internet training sessions provided by the council and North Lincolnshire Homes. These help people to get online to benefit from the many advantages it provides.
See the council’s website for details at: www.northlincs.gov.uk/do-it-online.
Coun Neil Poole, cabinet member for Policy and Resources, said: “Go along to one of the roadshow events and find out what superfast broadband means for you. Whether you are a business or resident, our highly qualified team will be able to offer you advice. There are unlimited advantages for businesses and homes to using broadband.
“It is essential that North Lincolnshire moves into the digital age; ensuring we are well-known as a place to invest and do business. We want to provide as many opportunities as we can.” For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01724 296926.
