Students have been boxing clever to help less fortunate children around the world.

More than 100 Christmas boxes were donated by students from Trinity Academy, Thorne, and their families.

The festive boxes, packed with goodies, were collected for the charity Samaritan’s Purse as part of its annual Operation Christmas Child appeal.

Students donated a range of treats including toys, books, pens and pencils, puzzles, hats and scarves and sweets.

They will be distributed to needy children aged two to 14 in Eastern Europe and Africa.
