Doncaster College Engineering students spirits were soaring after a visit to see a famous aircraft that was used as a front line bomber by the RAF in the cold war.

They popped in to see the only airworthy Avro Vulcan ā€˜Vā€™ Bomber in the world, which has been based at Doncaster Robin Hood Airport since May 2011.

The aircraft, named The Spirit Of Great Britain, is stored and maintained in the hangar that had previously provided the same maintenance workshop nearly 50 years earlier.
