Stay safe on roads - police

SOUTH Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership have issued a safety warning to drivers as freezing weather conditions are forecast for the area.

The partnership is urging drivers to allow extra time for journeys, and to prepare themselves by carrying emergency kit such as waterproof jackets, gloves, boots and a shovel.

The warning comes as colder temperatures are forecast in the region later this week. For further safety tips visit www.highways.gov.uk/winter
