Sports car wrecked

AN MG sports car was wrecked after an electricial fault sparked a fire.

Firefighters from Dearne Station were called to the scene at Dane Street South in Thurnscoe on Wednesday at 10pm.

They spent 20 minutes at the scene and used a single hose reel to put the blaze out.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was caused by faulty wiring in the vehicle.
