A NEW sports degree has been launched at University Centre Doncaster.
The Bachelor of Science (BSc Honours) degree is in Sport, Fitness and Exercise Science and has been validated by the University of Hull and received a professional endorsement from Doncaster Rovers.
The course is being held at Doncaster’s High Melton base.
Rob Pacey, sports scientist for Doncaster Rovers, said: “The modules and assessment on the BSc Hons in Sport, Fitness and Exercise Science clearly relate to the types of activities a sport scientist like me would be required to do day to day at our club.”
Tom Mitchell, higher education co-ordinator for sport at University Centre Doncaster, added: “As programme leader I feel this professional endorsement shows that we deliver relevant qualifications that support students in obtaining real jobs in this demanding sector.
“We are very proud to have Doncaster Rovers FC on board with this programme and we hope to build on this relationship through providing students to the club to support their work placement programme.”
