An established pub couple in Epworth will take over a second local hostelry on March 1.
Pauline Garner and Matt Lees of the White Bear public house will take over the reins at the Reindeer, Sandtoft from next month.
“The opportunity came up to take the lease at the Reindeer, and we’re looking forward to introducing a new menu for both bar meals and the restaurant to diners there, while continuing to run the White Bear,” said Pauline.
“There are fantastic facilities at the Reindeer for all-size functions with en-suite room facilities for guests. We hope to be able to hold weddings there in the future, and serve the Isle for every kind of celebration or gathering.”
She added: “Our customers here in Epworth have supported us well over the past five years and we hope they will continue to visit both venues. We are delighted with our success at the White Bear and hope to attract people from across the Isle and Doncaster to the Reindeer.”
Their food choices will continue to feature full gluten-free menus at both hostelries, she added, and the Reindeer’s bar will feature a real fire and a range of guest cask ales and world beers.
