A second Skellow shop has been targeted by an armed robber, Police have confirmed.

Police were called to the BP Brookfield Filling Station, Hampole Balk Lane, Skellow following reports of a robbery.

A man entered the shop carrying a knife and demanded money from the cashier.

The cashier handed money over.

A car then pulled onto the forecourt and the man left the shop and walked in the direction of Skellow.

The man was white, in his early 40s, short and of stocky build, with dark hair that was balding. He was wearing a dark jacket with a hood, which was pulled up.

The robbery took place at around 6.50pm on August 16, and comes just days after the One Stop Shop on Skellow Road, Skellow was also held up at knifepoint on August 13.

Police have confirmed they are looking for a man who meets a similar description in both incidents.

In both incidents a female member of staff was alone on the shop floor when the robberies took place.
