Staff at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust (TRFT) and the Rotherham Titans rugby team helped mark the National Obesity Awareness Week with a scrumptious cycle challenge at Rotherham Hospital.

Rugby stars from Rotherham Titans got on their bikes to help highlight the problem of obesity.

They joined staff at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust to cycle a bike which powers a blender to make fruit smoothies.

The event at Rotherham Hospital marked National Obesity Awareness Week. It highlighted services in the town which tackle obesity.

Alyson Fedak, a weight management team leader, said: “The bike-blender cycle was a really fun way to engage with members of the public about obesity and healthy living.

“It also raised awareness of the weight management services which are available in Rotherham.

“I would like to thank everyone who took part and the Rotherham Titans for supporting us.”
