The world famous Red Arrows aerobatic display team have enjoyed an overnight stay in Doncaster.

Six of the distinctive red and white Hawk jets touched down at Robin Hood Airport yesterday for a refuelling stop.

They took off again shortly afterwards but fog forced them to turn back for an overnight stay at Finningley.

The nine-strong display team, based at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, were regular favourites at the RAF Finningley air show during the 1980s and early 1990s.

They are due to attempt take off later again today.
