The funeral of dedicated Rovers fan, Ray Dunning, will take place next week, it has been announced.
Taking place on Thursday, May 22, the funeral cortege will arrive at the hospitality entrance of the Keepmoat Stadium at 3pm, leaving for the Rose Hill crematorium at 3.15pm.
Mr Dunning’s wife, Angela, says Rovers fans and well wishers are invited to pay their respects at the Keepmoat, as the cortege leaves.
A private service will then take place at the crematorium at 4pm.
Mr Dunning died after collapsing at the King Power stadium in Leicester with a brain aneurysm as his beloved Rovers were relegated on May 3, and since then tributes have continued to pour in for the ‘avid Rovers fan’ with many leaving flowers, football shirts and scarves at the Keepmoat memorial garden.
