Police release artist’s impression of rogue traders

DETECTIVES investigating the case of a rogue trader in the village of Wrawby, near Brigg, have released an artist’s impression of a man they want to talk to in connection with the incident.

The incident happened on Tuesday September 4, between 11.30am and 12.20pm in Vicarage Gardens in the North Lincolnshire village.

Two men are believed to have approached the address of an elderly woman and pointed out some structural work they claim was required to her roof.

A price was agreed for the work to be completed and the victim offers to make payment with a cheque, which the men refused, stating he only accepted cash.

The victim then handed over £80 and the men promised a receipt would be provided later but that has not materialised.

Police inquiries suggest a small amount of work has been carried out on the roof although to a low standard.

An Evo-fit of one of the men involved in the incident has been created and police want to hear from anyone who thinks they recognise him or may recall having seen him in the area in early September.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 referring to log number 286 of 04 September 2012.
