Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life was held in Doncaster’s Town Fields yesterday - and despite earlier fears of a low turnout more than 900 women ran or walked the 5km race.

Organisers estimate that once all their sponsorship money is collected together, it is hoped that around £70,000 will have been raised for the charity.
