Pedestrian in hit and run

A PEDESTRIAN sustained leg and elbow injuries after a hit and run.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident that happened in Church Street, Armthorpe.around 2.20pm on Thursday January 9 when a woman in her 50s was crossing the road, near to the Halifax bank, when a car that was turning right collided with her.

The female driver of the vehicle, believed to be a beige coloured car, did stop to check the pedestrian was all right, before driving off.

The pedestrian sustained injuries to her leg and elbow but they are not believed to be serious. Anyone with information contact 101.
