Bus users have one week left to have their say on First services in Doncaster.

The bus operator is consulting with passengers in Cantley, Rossington, Auckley, Finningley, Branton and Bessacar as part of a wide-ranging exercise.

A number of drop-in sessions have taken place where locals have turned up to speak to First representatives. The company has received nearly 200 responses but is still eager to get more as it tries to find new ways of encouraging more people to travel by bus.

Peter Mair, operations manager for First in Doncaster, said: “We are still very keen to hear from our customers and the local communities in general to find out what they think of our bus services and more importantly how we can improve them to encourage more people to travel by bus.”

The consultation ends on December 20. Passengers in other parts of Doncaster will be able to have their say in the New Year.

A consultation form is available online at www.firstgroup.com/southyorkshire.
