New Principal is appointed

THE new principal of Netherwood ALC has been appointed by its governors.

Toby Eastaugh will be at the helm of Netherwood Advanced Learning Centre, which is set to evolve from the linking of Wombwell High School and Darfield Foulstone School of Creative Arts.

Mr Eastaugh comes from Spen Valley Sports College in Kirklees and is said to be ‘committed to developing the new ALC into an outstanding school and community facility’.

Chair of governors Bob Bloomer said: “This is an exciting time for Netherwood. The ALC will provide an excellent environment for learning and is intended to be a resource that the community will feel proud to be associated with.”

The school is due to open in September.
