A road crash on Epworth’s High Street caused mid-morning chaos and involved emergency services.

The incident on Thursday involved a teenager on a motorbike and an elderly lady. The motorbike rider was taken to hospital after his bike left the road and was in collision with the wall of Hattie’s Tea Shop on High Street.

It is understood the lady pedestrian, in her late eighties, was shocked but unhurt.

Cyndi Hurst (pictured), co-owner of Hattie’s said: “There were people around at the time. Police arrived quickly. We were thankful the bike hit the wall because a couple of feet further and it would have been through our window.”
