Work on a £200, 000 National Grid project to keep gas flowing to homes and businesses in Mexborough is drawing to a close.

Engineers are today, Tuesday, March 4, installing the last 75 metre of piping along Doncaster Road, towards the junction with New Street, to meet a rising demand for gas in the area.

There has been numerous compalints about traffic delays while workmen have been on site since October but the final stretch is expected to be completed in three weeks.
