Life Mobility of Mexborough have donated a wheelchair for the use of patients at the renal unit at Mexborough Montagu Hospital.

The boss of a new mobility store has kindly donated a wheelchair for patients to use at Montagu Hospital.

Life Mobility’s generous gift will be used by kidney patients in the Mexborough hospital’s renal unit.

The new firm, which is located across from Mexborough’s Main Street Post Office, sells scooters, stair lifts, beds, rise and reclining chairs, wheelchairs and daily living aids.

Owner David Winstanley, 36, of Mexborough, said: “I believe passionately in serving the community with honesty, respect and delivering exceptional customer service, which is what the people of the Dearne Valley area deserve.”

He is pictured above handing over the wheelchair to a member of staff at the hospital.

The renal unit comprises of 12 dialysis stations with the capacity to dialyse up to 72 patients over a three-shift rota, six days a week. It was opened in 2010.
