A SERVICE in memory of a Doncaster soldier who was killed in Afghanistan is taking place at his army base later today.

The service for Sgt Lee Davidson will be held at the Light Dragoons barracks at Swanton Morley, near Norwich, this afternoon.

A book has also been opened at Doncaster Minster for people to leave their tributes to Sgt Davidson.

Sgt Davidson, 32, of Thorne, was killed on Sunday while patrolling with Afghan Police in Helmand Province.
