HOMELESS people in Doncaster will be given a hearty Christmas welcome and meal thanks to a series of generous donations.

The annual Christmas Cafe for the needy and homeless takes place between 11.30am and 3pm on Christmas Day at St Peter’s Church Hall in Chequer Road.

The drop-in cafe is organised by Christian group Churches Together and Father Gus O’Reilly, from St Peter’s, said: “The cafe has generated a great response from many people, especially volunteers who give their Christmas time to come and prepare food, talk to the guests, and give out the presents.”
