A crackdown on anti-social behaviour is being launched in Tickhill, Doncaster, this month.
Police have set the issue as a priority for action in the town following a string of complaints about the problem.
The decision was made at the June Partners And Communities Together - PACT - meeting.
Officers have agreed the action with Doncaster Council. It means patrols to deal with the problem will be stepped up.
Patrols have already been started, say police. They have targeted areas including Tickhill Pavilion and the Tickhill recreation ground.
But so far officers have not uncovered any case of yob behaviour during the patrols.
On the first night of the specially launched patrols, four youths were spoken to by officers, who said there was no anti-social behaviour reported.
It will be re-assessed at the next PACT meeting. at Market Place, Bawtry, on Thursday August 21
