A teenager sustained facial injuries after an unprovoked attack in a nightclub.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault that occurred at the Priory night club in Lazarus Court.

An 18-year-old man was on the dance floor, in the Back Room, at around 3.50am, when an unknown person assaulted him.

The 18-year-old man sustained serious facial injuries in the unprovoked attack.

Anyone with any information about the incident that happened on Sunday August 12 is urged to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 724 of the 12 August 2012, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
