Man burned in Doncaster boat blast

A man in his 60s suffered burns today when his boat blew up and sank on the canal at Kirk Bramwith, near Doncaster, this morning.

It is believed leaking gas was ignited by a cigarette and the cruiser, moored near Low Lane, was quickly engulfed in flames. The man was taken to hospital but his dog did not survive the fire.
