MOTORWAY traffic is now running normally after earlier delays when a lorry jacknifed on the M18 near Doncaster.

South Yorkshire Police confirmed that the lorry jacknifed at about 6.25am at junction five of the M18, at the junction with the M180.

Just past the entry to the service station, a white articulated lorry travelled onto the traffic island.

The barrier was damaged, but nobody was injured.

The road was closed between approximately 8am and 9.30am.
