One of North Lincolnshire Homes Resident Involvement Officers is celebrating after achieving runner up in a national award.

Leesa Castelluccio, formerly of Eastoft, was one of six people shortlisted to be Inspirational Colleague of the Year at the sixth annual Housing Heros Awards 2014.

The awards are organised by Inside Housing magazine and the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and the winners were announced on Monday 23rd June at the Exchange Hall at Manchester Central.

The awards showcase the people and teams who are doing exceptional work in the social and affordable housing sector.

Leesa joined North Lincolnshire Homes in June 2013 on an eight week placement through the Empowering Project at Crosby Employment Bureau; she then secured full time work in the Leasehold and Investment Teams in August and in October joined the Resident Involvement team as a permanent member of ongo staff.

Leesa said: “I’m very happy to have just been nominated for this award. We heard about some truly inspirational people and to be considered as one myself is a great honour, especially after being at ongo for just one year.

“I’d like to say a big congratulations to all those who were nominated for an award, especially Jo Coxford of Circle Housing in Wherry who was named as Inspirational Colleague of the Year.”

The awards were sponsored by EMH Group, Manchester Strategic Housing Partnership, Places for People, the Regenda Group, Wheatley Group and Your Housing Group.
