Crowle’s Rescue Day again proved itself to be a huge success story that attracts multiple thousands of people to the Isle.

This year’s spectacular at the 7 Lakes Country Park, showcased emergency services’ and agencies’ work to crowds of onlookers, while ramming home the importance of water, road, fire and rail safety.

Simulated incidents involved road crashes, water rescues and a rail/road crossing collision, in the first such staging of a large-scale disaster away from a real rail track.

Newfoundland rescue dogs were there along with the AA Special Operations Rescue Team around the main lake,

The Battle of Britain Memorial flight Spitfire performed a fly past display and the Red Devils’ parachute team performed the UK’s only ’water drop’.
