Injured biker lies undiscovered by the roadside for 48 hours

A BIKER spent two days lying undiscovered in a ditch by the roadside after a collision with a signpost in Thorne.

The man is believed to have spent two nights hidden from view after he collided with a metal signpost along the A614 Selby Road.

The 40-year-old suffered serious injuries including broken ribs and hyperthermia and was being treated at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

The incident happened at about 8am last Wednesday as the man, from Goole, was riding towards Rawcliffe on a black Kawasaki ZX6R.

Any witnesses are asked to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.
