BARNSLEY Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is celebrating becoming the first hospital trust in the region to be awarded for the quality of its patient information leaflets.

Ten leaflets from the hospital have been awarded the Information Standard – a national accreditation which ensures information patients receive is clear and easy to understand.

Hospital director Helen Stevens said: “We are extremely committed to giving our patient the best experience possible.”
