Hexthorpe Primary School to receive a £1.8m extension

Increasing numbers of children in the Hexthorpe area of Doncaster have led to plans for a £1.8m extension to the primary school.

Doncaster Council’s cabinet is due to meet today (Wednesday) to discuss the proposal, which would see the facility increase from 420 pupils to 630.

The council has been allocated £1,895,429 from The Education Funding Agency (EFA) for the school. A further request for £500,000 has been made to provide an additional hall area, and remodelling of the existing school to accommodate classrooms.
