STAFF at a Doncaster health trust have given a huge boost to a special gift appeal to help disadvantaged children and teenagers.

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) staff have donated 170 gifts to the Barnardo’s Gift Appeal, which have been collected and will be ready to deliver to the county’s children.

The collection, organised by RDaSH staff member Liz James with the help of colleagues Janet Hone and Linda O’Gorman, who all work in mental health services, saw the presents roll in over a four-week period.

Liz said: “The presents we are donating to the appeal will be distributed to both children and teenagers in South Yorkshire. The response from staff has been brilliant.

“I am really happy and pleased with how the appeal for gifts has gone. We have done really well.”
