Headteacher at ‘outstanding’ Doncaster school retires

The headteacher of a top Doncaster school has announced her retirement.

Liz Ellison has been in charge of Hexthorpe Primary for more than six years with Ofsted describing the school as “outstanding” in its latest inspection report.

Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones visited the school to congratulate her on her career. Mrs Ellison said: “As I prepare to leave, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the staff, governors, parents and members of the community who have worked tirelessly over the past six years of my headship to retain our outstanding status.”
