THE woman accused of murdering Doncaster schoolgirl Casey-Lyanne Kearney is due to go on trial this morning.
Hannah Bonser is due to stand trial at Sheffield Crown Court charged with the murder of 13-year-old Casey and two counts of possessing a bladed article.
Casey, of Rossington, died on Valentine’s Day after she was stabbed in the stomach outside Elmfield Park in Bennetthorpe.
The McAuley Catholic High School pupil had just got off a bus to meet a friend in the school holidays when she was attacked.
She managed to stagger into the park and dial 999 herself.

Doctors at Doncaster Royal Infirmary battled for several hours to try and save Casey, but she was pronounced dead later that day.
Bonser, 26, of Cusworth House, St James’ Street, Hyde Park, was arrested shortly afterwards in Imperial Crescent, Town Moor.
She denied the charges at a hearing via videolink last week.
