Free Wifi access is now offered at libraries in the Isle.

The technology, which allows for computers to connect to the internet wirelessly, is available from today at libraries in Haxey, Epworth and Crowle.

Councillor Neil Poole, cabinet member for policy and resources at North Lincolnshire Council, said: “When people visit the library, besides having access to the usual things you’d expect to find, you will now also have wireless connection to the Internet, enabling customers to do a whole range of things including business with the council.

“We are constantly looking at ways to improve customer satisfaction and experience, and making it easier for people to get in touch with the council. In our busy lives, we don’t always have the time to visit in person, so the Internet is a great way to keep in touch with what’s going on, quickly.

“We are adding more services available online all the time. You can pay your council tax, book theatre tickets, and much more. To find out more, visit www.northlincs.gov.uk.”
