Free refreshers for mature drivers

OLDER drivers around Rotherham and South Yorkshire are invited to a refresher road coaching session, with lunch, in April.

The package aimed at older drivers follows a spate of collisions last year that were seen as avoidable.

The Community Safety Department, funded by South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership, have set about developing a course that aims to help increase knowledge and understanding of the modern road system, and reduce the number of collisions and injuries on our roads.

The Drive Safe Event will take place on April 4 at The Lifewise Centre, Hellaby from 9.30am to 2pm.

Following the event drivers may elect to undertake a two hour on-road coaching and advice session with an Approved Driving Instructor.

These coaching sessions and the event itself are free of charge
