Deputy Mayor, Councillor Cynthia Ransome presents local business woman Sarah Meloy of Salon Chique in Woodlands with her 4 star Gold Salon Award.

A SALON has proved it is a cut above the rest with a four-star gold award - the first of its kind in the borough.

Businesswoman Sarah Meloy of Salon Chique in Woodlands was presented with a four-star gold salon gong - an award which recognises qualifications, customer service, compliance with codes of conduct, legislation and corporate social responsibility.

Coun Cynthia Ransome, who presented Sarah with her award, said: “It was a pleasure to be able to present Sarah with her award which recognises her commitment to providing a warm welcome and putting quality very much at the heart of her business. I wish Sarah every success for the future.”

David Bellis, from the Gold Salon Awards, said: “A four-star gold salon exceeds in its obligations every step of the way, regularly reviewing the skills of their team and being fully committed to the client experience.

“Sarah is the only salon in the area so far to attain the standard and she should be really proud of this great achievement.”
