Seven families are celebrating after moving in to new council homes in Doncaster.

The houses have been constructed as part of a £10 million building programme comissioned by Doncaster Council and will be maintained by St Leger Homes. Among the first tenants to move in to the homes on Broom Hill Drive were Hannah Newcomble, Liam Wright and their daughter.

Hannah said: “The house is gorgeous. It’s affordable for our family and there’s plenty of space”

Over the next few years, the programme will provide more than 100 new one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes across the borough.

Sites to be developed include Woodlands, Askern and Carcroft.
