Female pharmacy staff threatened with a syringe and knife

Female staff at a Doncaster pharmacy were threatened with a syringe and a knife by an armed robber today.

At around 9.10am on Wednesday April 16 a man walked into the shop in Hexthorpe Road, Hexthorpe, and demanded money and drugs, before leaving the premises on foot with a quantity of cash and prescription medication.

Neither of the women, aged 34 and 45 were injured, but were shaken by the incident.

The suspect is described as between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 7ins tall. He was wearing a black motorcycle helmet with something underneath it covering his face, a green combat-style jacket and green combat-style trousers.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 203 of Wednesday April 16.
