Dressing up - and down - has been a key activity at one Isle school this half term.

Pupils at Eastoft C of E Primary School turned back the clock to Tudor days then dressed in style for a visit to Gainsborough Old Hall, before getting back on trend in colourful ‘onesies’ for a charity and treat day.

The Gainsborough Old Hall visit saw key stage two children take part in lively workshops, where they learned about Tudor games, food and writing, and even sampled a Tudor banquet.

It was all as part of ongoing history project work that continued back in Eastoft.

A school spokeswoman said: “It was an awesome day and the children had great fun despite the weather trying to spoil things!”

Gainsborough Old Hall holds the Sandford Award for its excellence in education.

Back in school, a successful Onesie Day was a fun reward for hard work while raising cash for causes to be decided by the school council.
