Dryer fire in Edlington

A WOMAN had to be given oxygen after a tumble dryer set alight in a flat.

The woman, in her 40s, was helped by firefighters following the incident in Edlington Lane, Edlington, at 11pm last night.

Two crews from Edlington and Maltby were sent to the flat, which is above a fish and chip shop, but the fire was out on arrival.

The woman did not go to hospital.
