POLICE in Wath-upon-Dearne have raided a number of suspected drug dens.

Officers from the Wath Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) cautioned three council tenants after catching them in possession of drugs.

The Wath trio were made the subject of acceptable behaviour contracts last week for breaching their council tenancy agreements by keeping drugs at their premises.

Officers also recovered 30 cannabis plants after executing a search warrant in Kilnhurst on January 23.

A further raid on Monday netted police 18 wraps of heroin and a man was arrested.

Officers from Wath SNT gave details of their “successful operation” in a series of tweets.
