Isle residents who sign-up to a collective switching scheme to save money on their energy bills could also be in with a chance of winning a year’s free energy.

If you sign-up to the scheme and then get five friends and family to do so, you will be entered in to a draw to win a year’s free energy. You must be over 18 years to be eligible to win.

North Lincolnshire Council has teamed up with iChoosr, the UK’s leading provider of collective switching to help residents get a better deal on energy bills.

The collective switching scheme can help save around £190 a year.

This system allows an intermediary to enter an auction with energy companies, to secure a discounted energy price.

If you would like to reap these benefits, register online by visiting www.northlincs.gov.uk/collective-switching. But you need to register before it closes on June 9.

For more details about the scheme, contact Adam Conley, Warm Homes Officer at North Lincolnshire Council on 01724 297676.

Adam Conley, Warm Homes Officer for North Lincolnshire Council, said: “If you would like to reduce your monthly bills then the collective switching scheme is a great way to start. We do all the hard work for you and you could save up to £190 a year.

“The scheme has been a huge success so far and we want to spread the word about the fantastic scheme and get more people to register. Many people have commented on the savings they have made and how easy it is to switch. The more people that register, the greater the savings are.

“It is very easy to register on the scheme online at www.northlincs.gov.uk/collective-switching.”
