Two Doncaster butchers have proved they are a cut above the rest after picking up regional awards for their meats.
Eatons Butchers of Tickhill won first prize in the best pork offal category for its pork liver terrine.
Meanwhile, Wilkinson Butchers, based in the town centre and Bawtry, won the hotly contested traditional pork sausage category with their own brand of sausages.
The awards were given out at the Regional Pork Product Excellence Awards Roadshow in Harrogate last week. More than 401 entries were submitted by 59 butchers in the region.
Lewis Mayes, 30, a butcher at Eatons, said their products are “immensely popular with our customers.”
Daniel Wilkinson, 33, director of Wilkinson Butchers, said: “We ensure that the best quality ingredients go into the product.”
