Pupils from Doncaster schools Sing Up at the Doncaster Dome.

Around 700 primary school pupils were in full voice for a mass sing-a-long at The Dome last week.

Youngsters from 18 schools performed on stage with a live band for the Sing Out event to celebrate arts and culture in the town.

Pupils sang along as musicians Janet Wood, Alice Needham and Jim Lunt played six songs they had specially recorded for the performance.

Janet said: “As ever I was blown away by the children’s creativity and came away with enough material for a dozen songs! The challenge was to create one song which worked well while honouring the ideas from the eight schools.

“I am very pleased with the result and think the song sits well alongside the better known ones.”
