Doncaster to Leeds rail link closed after person struck on track

RAIL services between Doncaster and Leeds have been disrupted after someone was struck by a train.

The person was struck between South Elmsall and Adwick.

There were immediate delays of up to 60 minutes on services between Doncaster and Leeds due to the accident, which happened just before 3.30pm.

Both East Coast and Northern Rail services between Doncaster and Leeds have been affected.

There is no current estimate as to when normal services will resume.
