Shoppers at Lakeside Village have been given a chance to name a new guide dog puppy.
The centre has teamed up with the Guide Dogs Association to help raise more than £5,000 to train a specially-bred dog, who will be trained up in the coming weeks.
The name needs to be two syllables long, steering clear of words that might sound like a command, such as sit, stand or bark.
The competition winner will also get to meet the new pup when he begins his training.
Cheryl Sadler, centre manager said: “We are so happy to be teaming up with The Guide Dogs Association once more for the naming of a guide dog puppy. We are very grateful to everyone that donated to help us raise over £5,000 for the cause, and we can’t wait to see what names our customers come up with this year and how much more we can raise for the worthwhile cause.”
