Members of the public are being invited to a drop-in event to celebrate Dementia Awareness Week.
The event will be held on May 22 from 11am to 7pm at St Catherine’s House, Woodfield Park, Balby.
There will be free advice and information from a range of organisations where people will be able to find out more about:
• Dementia awareness
• Living well with Dementia
• What services are available locally.
One of the organisers, Cheryl Watkinson, of Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH), said: “Visitors will be able to get a range of free advice and information from a wide range of organisations at the event. Not only will they be able to find out about dementia and how to live well with dementia, visitors will also be able to see what services are available to people with dementia and their family or carers as well.”
Organisations attending include Doncaster CVS, PROP (People Relying on People), Donmentia, Alzheimer’s Society and Doncaster Carers Centre.
