The team at Leeds Building Society’s Doncaster branch are supporting Heart Month this February by promoting the British Heart Foundation’s charity red heart pin badges. The pin badges are available now, for a suggested donation of £1, in the branch at 8 Frenchgate, until Friday February 28.
The funds raised will be used for vital research, support and care for those suffering with heart disease.
This follows Leeds Building Society’s Head Office in Leeds supporting the BHF’s ‘Ramp Up The Red’ day when staff dressed up in red for the event.
Melissa Foulis, Leeds Building Society Doncaster Branch Manager said, “We wanted to get involved with the British Heart Foundation this February in national heart month because we think the charity does great work. We are hoping to raise funds for the BHF, by promoting their red heart pin badges in our branch, to help them to fund the research that is so urgently needed to fight heart disease. The pin badges are available now in the branch for a suggested donation of £1 until the end of February.”
Sue Green, Fundraising Manager at BHF, said: “Heart Month is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to think about how many lives are affected by heart disease. By promoting our red heart pin badges to their customers until the end of this month, the Leeds Building Society Doncaster branch will be helping us to raise much-needed funds in order to fight heart disease. We offer our heartfelt thanks to Leeds Building Society’s team in Doncaster for so generously dedicating their time and energy to help us continue our fight for every heartbeat.”
