During Saturday’s seven hour firefighters’ strike South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue attended a number of incidents across the borough.

The strike took place between 10am and 5pm, and during that time the Fire Service were called out to a fire on shrubland in Edlington Wood at around 12:50pm.

They were later called out at 1.47pm to an incident outside Primark in Doncaster town centre, where a child was stuck in railings. The young girl was freed unharmed from railings where she had become stuck.
